Sanne Akerboom is a Post Doc at the Utrecht University, at both the Utrecht Centre for Water, Oceans and Sustainable Law and the Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development. As a lawyer and political scientist Sanne has an interdisciplinary background. She has studied the energy transition and the role of government, regulation and policy since 2010. She wrote her PhD at the University of Amsterdam on the role of the public in the energy transition. She now publishes on energy innovations, renewable energy and legal and social constructs for the acceleration of the energy transition.
